Abstract: Techniques using ArcView, SQL and KML to build better data for sharing with your organization.
-- Generating street intersections with ArcView and SQL

-- Outside/In - Using your data in GoogleEarth and using KML in ArcView
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to add geometry attribute columns within ArcGIS Desktop, use those columns to create a new point layer with SQL, then use ArcView to publish KML and use that KML data for a better gazetteer in GoogleEarth.

Abstract: The Python scripting language is becoming more and more tightly integrated into the ArcMap and ArcCatalog software, and allows for the automation of both complex and common procedures, as well as for quick and efficient geoprocessing. This course will give an introduction into Python scripting in ArcGIS Desktop, and how it can be used to increase productivity and automate tasks. We will look at the ArcPy mapping module, and examine how it is used to manipulate maps and layers.
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to write and run basic Python scripts within ArcGIS Desktop using the correct syntax, and will be able to automate geoprocessing operations.
