General Meeting: Applied GIS Presentations by City of Memphis and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

This month we are pleased to feature two speakers from the City of Memphis:

  1. James Greenlee, Director of Environmental Maintenance for the City of Memphis, will share how GIS has been integrated for operation and maintenance activities. They have a staff of 150+ and complete a variety of inspections on sanitary sewer infrastructure.

  2. Mary Claire Borys, Manager of Strategic Initiatives for the City of Memphis, Housing and Community Development, will share how they use GIS as a backbone for decision-making and information visualization.

  3. Lindsay Barrios, GIS Specialist for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, will share a presentation on flood inundation mapping in support of emergency operations.
